Malaga to get unpaid wages soon

Malaga executive Vice-President Moayad Shatat has today met with the squad to explain the club's non-payment of wages.

Los Boquerones' owed €10m worth of wages to the playing staff on October 31, but we unable to pay out due to a number of financial reasons.

But the Qatari administrator today met with the squad to assure them that they will be paid within one month, according to El Desmarque.

The website have reported that the club are currently negotiating with the inland revenue and trying to release Champions League prize money that has been frozen due to tougher financial regulations.

The team are reportedly willing to grant that extra month and will therefore discard the possibility of issuing a formal complaint to the Spanish Football Association.

Manuel Pellegrini's side have been in impressive form this season, sitting in third place in La Liga and remaining unbeaten in Europe.
