N’Koulou on Madrid’s agenda

Marseille defender Nicolas N’Koulou is being tracked by Real Madrid, according to a report on football.fr.

Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is understood to have sent a scout to check on the Cameroon international in Marseilles 1-0 defeat to Troyes last weekend.

The 22-year-old has been at the Stade Velodrome since the start of last season, signing for €3.5m on a four-year contract after some impressive displays for Monaco, whom he joined in 2008.

Since then his form has been such that he has been linked with a host of other European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Barcelona and Arsenal.

N’Koulou made his Cameroon debut in a friendly against South Africa in 2008 and has gone on to represent his country 25 times.
