Valencia goalkeeper Vicente Guaita has been ruled out of Tuesday’s Group F Champions League game with BATE Borisov, reports AS.
The 25-year-old is has not recovered from a bout of gastroenteritis that saw him reportedly vomited on arrival at the airport in Belarus on Monday.
The player continued to feel nauseous in the morning and has been confined to the team’s hotel in Minsk, prompting boss Mauricio Pellegrino to discount him ahead of tonight’s clash at the Dinamo Stadium
The rest of the Valencia players had a light morning session at the stadium, while Pellegrino had covered the loss of Guaita by already selecting three ‘keepers for the trip.
