Atletico Madrid are reportedly assessing Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez as a possible replacement for Radamel Falcao.

Falcao is being continually linked with a move away from the capital club in January or next summer for as much as €60m, which as Atleti have admitted, could be enough to ease their debt concerns.

Subsequently, the team are said to be contemplating possible replacements for the Colombian, and Mexican man Hernandez is apparently on that list.

The forward, nicknamed Chicharito, has struggled in the past 18 months for regular playing time at Old Trafford and is believed in England to be available on a loan or permanent transfer out of the club.

Real Madrid have also recently been linked with the 24-year-old.
