Barcelona returned to training today after their 5-4 win at Deportivo last night, but Gerard Pique was still absent from the main group.
The defender has struggled for over a month to recover from a sprained foot suffered against Spartak Moscow in mid-September.
Originally it was hoped he would be back on schedule to feature for the Catalans’ home meeting with Real Madrid, but he was ruled out of that, as well as action with Spain during the international break and then Barca’s trip to Depor yesterday.
Still not back with the main group this morning, Pique is subsequently seen as highly unlikely to feature for the team in their midweek Champions League clash with Celtic.
