France captain Hugo Lloris was reportedly offered to Barcelona this summer, before his eventual move to Tottenham Hotspur.
During the recent transfer window, the 25-year-old, who is in contention to face Spain in next Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier, was apparently the subject of an offer from Lyon to the Catalans.
However, according to Catalunya Radio, Barca’s lack of interest in the shot-stopper saw that talks did not advance, before the Frenchman then opted to join Tottenham on deadline day.
Lloris has struggled for game-time in London, facing rotation with 41-year-old Brad Friedel.
