Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani says he will go to New York, but not to begin negotiations with former Barcelona Coach Pep Guardiola.
The struggling Rossoneri have been increasingly linked with the 41-year-old tactician and were reported this week as travelling out to New York, where Guardiola is currently based, to begin talks on his possible availability for the San Siro hotseat.
However, Galliani has commented on the rumours and looked to explain that whilst he will be in the American city in the near future, it will not to talk to Barca’s most successful Coach in their history.
“There will be no trip to New York for Guardiola,” he told Sky Sport Italia this morning.
“I will go to the city at some stage, but only to go and see my daughter.”
