Busquets centre-back, Cesc false nine?

Sergio Busquets at centre-back and Cesc Fabregas as a false No 9 were part of Vicente del Bosque’s last training line-up in Belarus.

The Spain boss put his men through only 45 minutes of practice but the deployment of Busquets and Fabregas could be significant with regards Friday night’s World Cup qualifier in Minsk.

Marca reports that Barcelona’s Busquets appears to have won the race with Raul Albiol and Javi Martinez to partner Sergio Ramos at the heart of the defence, while clubmate Fabregas is in pole position for a starting spot at the expense of Chelsea’s Fernando Torres.

Del Bosque has already confirmed that Andres Iniesta will not form part of the starting line-up with Santi Cazorla favourite to take over his midfield role.

La Roja trained at the Dinamo Minsk Stadium in temperatures of just five degrees, a far cry from the more than 20 degrees they enjoyed at La Ciudad del Futbol in Las Rozas in midweek.
