Real Betis defender Javier Chica will undergo surgery today and be out for four to six weeks as a result.
The former Espanyol right back hasn't played since suffering a knee injury in August, and his club have now announced that he will be operated on by specialist Dr Santiago Perez Hidalgo in the next few hours.
“I'm not having any luck but no one is more stubborn than me,” said the 27-year-old on Twitter. “I'll come back stronger and help my teammates.”
