Cesc Fabregas said Sevilla’s Gary Medel deserved his red card for a second-half head butt on the Barcelona midfielder.
The former Arsenal man [pictured, right] was interviewed on the pitch by Canal + reporter Ricardo Sierra and immediately explained his view of the matter.
“If you want me to I’ll do it to you and then you can tell me if it’s a red card or not. He head butted me in the face so therefore it’s a sending off,” said Fabregas, who thought Barca’s 3-2 win was a deserved victory.
“The result was fair. Sevilla are a great team but we knew that already.”
Fabregas also added that he thought the Catalans should also have had a first-half penalty.
