Osasuna pick up first point

Osasuna and Mallorca shared the spoils in a close-fought Sunday evening clash at El Sadar, in which both teams saw red cards.

Both sides were reduced to 10 men after the half-hour mark, as Joseba Llorente and Nunes clashed in challenging for a ball.

In an otherwise uneventful match, it threatened to end goalless until Kike Sola gave the home side a 1-0 lead with 20 minutes of the game remaining, as he headed in a cross.

Mallorca responded in similar fashion less than 10 minutes later, when Tomer Hemed netted his fourth of the season, heading in from a corner.

The draw saw Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side pick up a first point of the 2012-13 campaign, whilst Joaquin Caparros’ side maintain a top four slot and their unbeaten start.
