After losing Andres Iniesta to injury for two weeks, Barcelona will also have to make do without Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean reported back to the club this week from international duty, having finished his national team’s game this week complaining of discomfort with his left thigh.
Tests carried out today confirm that the player has a small tear in the muscle and is therefore unavailable for the team’s weekend trip to Getafe.
Alexis joins Iniesta on the sidelines, after the Spaniard reported back from representing Spain with a similar ailment.
Where Iniesta is ruled out for the next 10 to 15 days, Alexis’ chances of recovery are not yet specified, with the club’s official website only saying that his availability for future games will depend on the injury’s evolution.
