Levante explain Lassad loss

Levante have admitted defeat in the signing of Lassad Nouioui, but explained why they believed they had signed him.

The player was announced on Saturday morning to have agreed a two-year contract with the Valencian outfit, only for Scottish side Celtic to lay claim to him and then on Sunday also announce his signing.

Los Granotes have admitted today that no official document was signed, but they explained why they believed they had the player, who it is confirmed they will be taking legal action against.

“You cannot play with the image of Levante,” President Quico Catalan stated today.

“Lassad told us that the only legal representative to talk to was Karim Abdil. At 19.00 he looked at our proposal and did not accept it.

“At 22.32 he received a new offer. At 1.42 he tells us that there is a slight drafting error. And at 2.47 he tells us that we can officially recruit the player.

“At Levante we do not want anyone who has damaged the reputation of the club. He cannot play here for us, ever.”
