Real Betis President Miguel Guillen has slammed the Spanish Football League after his club's meeting with Atletico Madrid was postponed.
The match, originally scheduled for next Monday, has been called off because of Atleti's involvement in the European Super Cup tonight and the international fixtures due the following weekend.
September 3 is a FIFA designated day, where players called by their international sides are due to travel to training bases ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
But Guillen has hit out at the governing body for their lack of foresight.
“It is indecent,” he exclaimed in an interview with AS. “We are outraged with the LFP.
“We are currently discussing whether to claim economic damages for the losses that this situation has generated. The League are making themselves look like amateurs.”
Betis are currently ninth in La Liga, with three points taken from a possible six thus far.
