Barcelona winger Ibrahim Afellay is set to complete a move to Schalke before the close of the transfer window.
The Dutchman, who has had an injury-interrupted 18 months on the books of the Camp Nou side, has been strongly linked with a departure this summer.
Reports in the Netherlands believe that the former PSV Eindhoven man is travelling out to Germany today to complete terms on a move to Bundesliga outfit Schalke, whilst the Germans have since confirmed that they are in talks over his move.
It is unclear at the moment whether the player will be permanently transferred to the Gelsenkirchen outfit or just sent out on a season-long loan, but his valuation for any potential deal is placed at between €5m and €8m.
