Barcelona have confirmed that Carles Puyol has fractured his cheekbone, but also that the defender will be back training with the team tomorrow.
The centre-back suffered the injury in the 75th minute of his team’s 2-1 victory away to Osasuna, but still finished the 90 minutes.
After undergoing tests, has had it confirmed that he fractured his cheekbone. However, it is not deterring the veteran from trying to play in Wednesday’s Super Cup return leg with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Barca’s official website has confirmed that Puyol will be back in training tomorrow and, depending on the development of the injury, will be available to Coach Tito Vilanova for the Clasico.
