Busy Betis to lose Benat?

Real Betis are set to clinch the signings of Damien Perquis and Nosa Igiebor but Benat Extebarria is creeping closer to the exit.

Perquis is a 28-year-old French born Polish international, who has been with Sochaux for the last four years. Igiebor is a 21-year-old Nigerian midfielder who plays for Hapoel Tel Aviv.

The former, say Diario de Sevilla, arrived in Spain this morning to undergo a medical and seal a €700,000 switch, whilst the latter – despite featuring for Hapoel in their 3-1 Europa League win over Dudelange last night – should sign a year four deal soon.

The bad news is that talismanic midfielder Extebarria could be bound for Wolfsburg. The German club reportedly had a €12m offer rejected on Monday, but are now said to be putting together a cash plus player deal worth around €15m, which the Verdiblancos will find much harder to resist.
