Getafe close in on Valencia ace

Getafe are close to pulling off the signing of Valencia youngster Paco Alcacer, according to Marca.

The 18-year-old striker made his La Liga debut for Los Che in a 1-0 away loss at Real Sociedad last January, yet the loan signing of Nelson Valdez from Rubin Kazan has seen his chances of breaking into the first team at Mestalla considerably reduced.

As a result, Getafe President Angel Torres is confident he can persuade the Spanish Under-19 European champion to move to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on a permanent basis, and will make an offer before the close of the transfer window.

Getafe are also chasing Espanyol’s Alvaro Vazquez, although they are hoping to sell Venezuelan forward Miku for around €8m to finance any deal, with Michael Laudrup’s Swansea City most interested in the player.
