Milan back in for Kaka

Milan are reported to have reopened negotiations with Real Madrid for the transfer of Ricky Kaka.

The Brazilian was the subject of talks between his current and former sides earlier this summer, before their failure to agree on the structure and cost of a deal saw it fall through.

However, alongside news that the 30-year-old has been left out of Jose Mourinho’s Super Cup first leg clash with Barcelona tonight for ‘technical reasons’ comes claims that the Rossoneri are back in for his signature.

The Gazzetta dello Sport are running the line that Rossonero emissary Ernesto Bronzetti has been given the go-ahead to restart negotiations with Los Blancos and is currently in Barcelona to meet with President Florentino Perez.

Real Madrid paid Milan €65m for Kaka in the summer of 2009, which was briefly a world record sum. The Italians were earlier this summer pushing for a loan deal without a forced clause to then buy the player in 2013.
