Inter join Afellay queue

Inter have now joined the list of clubs queuing up to get their hands on Barcelona winger Ibrahim Afellay, reports Mundo Deportivo.

Despite Antonio Cassano having joined from Milan with Giampaolo Pazzini moving in the opposite direction, boss Andrea Stramaccioni is still interested in taking the Dutchman to the San Siro and it is understood Inter will make a move for Afellay this week.

The Pazzini-Cassano deal has taken up most of Inter’s attention this week but a move for Afellay is still on the cards, with Barcelona looking to farm the player out on loan before the end of the transfer window.

However, Inter are not the only club interested in taking the Barca man off the wage bill at the Camp Nou.

Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Schalke and Liverpool are all said to be on his trail and Luciano Spalletti, Coach of Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg, has also confirmed his club’s interest this week.
