Betis lose Castro for two games

Real Betis will be without striker Ruben Castro for their next two League outings, after the player suffered a sprained ankle.

Castro, who has been with the club since 2010 and has so far scored 43 goals for them, suffered the injury during his side’s opening day win away to Athletic Bilbao.

The forward complained after the eight-goal thriller of discomfort in his left ankle, which tests have now confirmed today as being the result of a grade II-III sprain.

Castro will likely miss Los Beticos’ League outings against Rayo Vallecano and Atletico Madrid, but should be back in time for Week 4’s fixtures, which are scheduled for after the September international break.
