Villarreal defender Gabriel has admitted he has been talking to Arsenal about joining the Premier League outfit in the January transfer window.
The Yellow Submarine snapped up the Brazilian from Vitoria de Bahia for a reported €3m in August 2013, signing a five-year deal with the club, and although they have no plans to part with any of their best players it could prove a highly profitable operation if they decide to sell.
In addition, 24-year-old Gabriel has done nothing to deny the existing rumours in the English and Spanish Press.
“I’m perfectly calm over my future. My head is still here with Villarreal but my agent is working on things, on whether I should go to Arsenal or remain where I am, but I’m relaxed about things. We shall see,” Gabriel was quoted by Marca as having said.
