Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has been beaten to the FIFA Puskas Award for Goal of the Year by Fenerbahce’s Miroslav Stoch.
The Colombian striker was in the running for the prize at tonight’s 2012 Ballon d’Or gala in Switzerland thanks to his spectacular overhead kick scored in a friendly against America de Cali last May.
However the voters preferred Slovakian winger Stoch’s long range volley for Fenerbahce against Genclerbirligi.
